1. How does the subscription program work?

Our subscription program works pretty simply:

  • Purchase a subscription and choose your subscription frequency.
  • Your first box will ship in the first week of the month after you order. For example, if you order in January, your first box will ship during the first week of February.
  • Your subscription will automatically re-bill to your credit card at the interval you selected when you signed up (every month, every other month, every three months, etc.)
  • Each box will ship in the first week of the month after it gets billed for the duration of your subscription.
  • You can edit your payment information, change your subscription frequency, skip, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management portal.

2. What products are included in the subscription program?

At the moment, our subscription service includes only the Scent of the Month Club. This is a curated subscription box featuring a collection of products in a new scent each month. Each Scent of the Month box contains:

  • (1) 5-oz bar of soap
  • (1) 10-oz sugar scrub
  • (1) candle, usually 6 ounces in size
  • (1) large bath bomb
  • (1) either small body butter or body spray, typically alternating monthly.
  • (1) small gift item

3. Can I customize my subscription box with specific products or scents?

No, this is not a service we offer at this time. We may add this in the future, however.

4. Is there a discount or special pricing for subscribing?

The subscription program boxes are already discounted below the value of the included merchandise and they get free shipping! There is also a small price incentive (a few dollars per month) to buying a subscription vs. just buying the non-subscription option of the same box.

5. How often will I receive my subscription box?

The default is once a month, but you can also choose every other month or every three (3) months. You can adjust your subscription frequency by visiting the subscription management portal.

There is no contract or commitment, you can adjust, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management portal.

9. Are there different subscription tiers with varying benefits?

No, at the moment we have only one type of subscription. We may add more options at a future date, though.

10. Can I cancel my subscription at any time, and is there a cancellation fee?

You can adjust, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management portal.

No, unfortunately, we do not offer international shipping.

13. Are subscription boxes curated based on customer preferences?

No, not specifically. We do pay attention to customer feedback in our decision-making about the program — that's why we switched from two bars of soap per month to one bar plus a spray or butter, for example — but we don't customize individual boxes.

14. Can I return or exchange items from my subscription box?

Only if they're damaged/defective, in which case we'll exchange them for a new one.

15. Can I gift a subscription to someone else?

Yes, subscriptions can be gifted! Just put your desired recipient's name in the shipping section when you order. If you add a comment to the order with a message you'd like to include, we'll write it on the enclosed card for you when we ship it out.

16. Are there exclusive products or early releases in subscription boxes?

Yes, the fragrances we use in the Scent of the Month subscription boxes are usually ones that we don't normally make. The ones that get great feedback from our subscribers will get added to our regular lineup. Sometimes we revive a frequently-requested, retired scent to make a box with. In any case, we keep it fun, interesting, and smelling great!

17. Can I receive notifications or previews of upcoming subscription box contents?

We don't typically do this. The scent and any special items included are usually a surprise. Typically, the only notice you'll receive is the shipping notification email with your tracking number.

The subscription box is placed inside a slightly larger box and then shipped out via UPS Ground.

19. Is there a waitlist for sold-out subscription boxes?

No, there isn't a waitlist. We produce our subscription boxes to fill the orders for the month so that we can always be sure we have enough.

No, our Scent of the Month subscription program is a curated service with scents selected by us.

No, subscription boxes are not eligible for promotions or discounts. However, their price is already deeply discounted and they get free shipping.

Yes, when your box ships each month you'll receive an email notifying you. The email will contain your UPS tracking number

Notify us within three business days and include a photo of the damaged/defective product. We can ship you a replacement.

Auto-replenishment is not something we're doing at the moment, but it is something we're interested in and considering implementing.
