The following frequently asked questions (FAQ) about our Fresh Car Auto Air Fresheners should cover all (or at least most) of the questions you might have. If you are unable to find the answer(s) to your question(s), please contact us!

1. How do the Fresh Car auto air fresheners work?

The Fresh Car auto air freshener consists of a small glass bottle filled with fragrance oil, a woodn diffuser cap, and a string to hang it with, which also does some diffusing. To use the freshener, follow these directions:

Unscrew the wooden diffuser cap and carefully remove the plastic stopper from the bottle. KEEP THE STOPPER.
Replace the wooden diffuser cap and twist until securely closed.
Hold the diffuser upside down for a few seconds, loading up the wooden diffuser cap and allowing the oil to saturate it from the inside. You may need to give it a small, gentle shake to dislodge any air trapped in the cap and let the oil flow in there properly.
Turn the bottle upright, remove the cap, and replace the stopper to avoid spills. Optionally, put it in a safe place for later use. If you ever take the air freshener down from its hanging position, you'll need to re-insert the stopper to keep oil from flowing out.
Tie the hanging rope above the wooden stopper bead and hang from your rear-view mirror. DO NOT HANG from turn signals, wiper levers, or gear shifters!

If you re-inserted the stopper in step 4, you'll need to repeat the steps above to reload the diffuser cap whenever it dries out.
Clean up any spills right away to avoid damage.

2. What scents are available in your Fresh Car auto air freshener collection?

We currently produce Fresh Car auto air fresheners in:

Cool Cape May: Made with bergamot, rosewood, lavender, and a hint of apple martini, it's a lightly floral scent that captures the essence of summer in beautiful Victorian Cape May.
Lemon Pound Cake: Smells exactly like a slice of lemon pound cake from your favorite bakery.
Monkey Farts: A tropical blend of banana, coconut, lime, bubblegum, and other assorted sweet & fruity notes (no monkeys or monkey by-products).
Ray of Sunshine: A sunny mixture of mandarin orange, marigold and chamomile.
Salty Mermaid: A perfect mix of fresh rain with the sweetness of lily of the valley and jasmine with undertones of lush & vibrant leafy greens, pine, and musk.
Santal: The warm and inviting scent of sandalwood is complemented by cinnamon, coriander, juniper berry, lavender, orange, rosemary, patchouli, ginger, tonka bean and finished with vanilla.

3. Do you offer unscented or fragrance-free options for the Fresh Car auto air fresheners?

No, we do not offer unscented or fragrance-free Fresh Car auto air fresheners, as that would rather defeat the purpose of the product.

4. Do you have any Fresh Car auto air fresheners specifically designed for certain seasons or themes?

At the moment, we do not offer seasonally-specific Fresh Car auto air fresheners.

5. How long does the fragrance last in the Fresh Car auto air fresheners?

The fragrance in our Fresh Car auto air fresheners will last several weeks up to a couple of months, depending on the conditions it's exposed to.

6. Are the Fresh Car auto air fresheners reusable, or are they designed for one-time use?

The Fresh Car auto air fresheners are intended for single use.

7. Are the Fresh Car auto air fresheners refillable, and do you offer replacement fragrance oils?

The Fresh Car auto air fresheners are intended for single use.

8. Where should I place the Fresh Car auto air freshener in my car for optimal fragrance?

The rear-view mirror is pretty much the only place it can go, in most cars.

9. Can the Fresh Car auto air freshener be used while driving, or is it better when stationary?

So long as you set your Fresh Car auto air freshener up while stationary, it's fine to have it in use while driving.

10. How do I store the Fresh Car auto air freshener when not in use?

It's best to just always leave it hanging. If you need to take it down, or simply want to pause its diffusing action, you can re-insert the plastic stopper in the neck of the bottle to prevent additional oil coming up into the diffuser cap. If you take the bottle down and put it away somewhere, just remember that any oil alread in the diffuser cap or in the rope loop could soak into anything else it touches.

11. Can I use the Fresh Car auto air freshener in other small spaces, like my office or closet?

Sure, you can use the Fresh Car auto air freshener pretty much anyplace you have a spot to hang it up!

12. Can I use the Fresh Car auto air freshener in my car if I have allergies or sensitivities?

So long as you're not allergic to the specific ingredients in this product, you should be fine.

13. Is the fragrance in the Fresh Car auto air fresheners natural or synthetic?

The fragrance in the Fresh Car auto air fresheners is derived from natural ingredients, just as with all of our other products.

14. Are the Fresh Car auto air fresheners safe for use in all types of vehicles?

Yes, our Fresh Car auto air fresheners are safe to use in any vehicle that has a suitable place to hang them.

15. Can the Fresh Car auto air fresheners be used in electric or hybrid vehicles?

Yes, Fresh Car auto air fresheners can be used in hybrid and electric vehicles.

16. Are your Fresh Car auto air fresheners tested on animals?

No, our Fresh Car auto air fresheners — as with the rest of our products — are not tested on animals! We have a strict policy against animal cruelty here at A Place on Earth, so we test on human volunteers instead.
