1. What is a dryer sachet?
A dryer sachet is a fabric pouch filled with herbs/botanicals and usually fragranced to make your laundry smell better at the end of the dryer cycle. In the case of our particular dryer sachets, they're filled with lavender buds and infused with an extra kick of lavender essential oils to enhance their fragrance.
back to Top2. What are the benefits of using lavender dryer sachets?
There are several benefits to using our lavender dryer sachets:
- No harsh artificial chemicals: Commercial fabric softeners work by coating your laundry in a cocktail of chemicals that give the illusion of the fabric being softer. Sachets don't use those ingredients. They also aren't claimed to be softening the fabric.
- Everything smells like lavender!: Seriously, how can you go wrong with this?
- Elevate your mood and reduce stress: The aromatherapy benefits of lavender include stress relief, relaxation, and lifting your mood. You can have all of this every day, simply by doing your laundry.
- No microplastics: Fabric softener sheets release tons of microplastics into the environment (and our bodies), but our lavender dryer sachets don't contain these microplastics.
- Your towels will be more absorbent: One of the many effects of commercial fabric softeners is that the coating they put on your fabrics makes your towels less absorbent. Using our dryer sachets, you won't get that coating. Your towels will be more absorbent as a result!
- Sleep better: Use our lavender dryer sachets when you dry your bed linens, and you'll get the relaxing, de-stressing, mood-elevating, better-sleep-so-you-can-wake-up-and-conquer-the-day effects of lavender aromatherapy!
3. What ingredients are used in the lavender dryer sachets?
The dryer sachets have possibly our most straight-forward ingredient list ever, as follows:
- A cotton fabric pouch
- Dried lavender buds
- Lavender essential oil
4. Is the fragrance in the lavender dryer sachets natural or synthetic?
The fragrance of our lavender dryer sachets is 100% natural, derived from the dried lavender buds themselves and 100% pure lavender essential oil added to enhance the scent.
back to Top5. How do I use the lavender dryer sachets in my laundry?
The directions for using the lavender dryer sachets are pretty simple:
- Remove the paper label wrapper.
- Toss the whole sachet into the dryer with your laundry and run your cycle as usual.
- When you remove your laundry from the dryer, fish out the sachet and set it aside for later use. You can put it in a sandwich bag to keep it fresh.
- After 8-10 loads, the sachet will lose its fragrance. Gently squeeze it and roll it between your hands to help release more of the fragrant oils inside.
- You'll get another 6-8 loads out of the revitalized sachet. At that point, it probably won't recover again with squeezing.
- The spent sachet still has some fragrance, despite being too weakly scented for laundry use. However, it can be tucked into drawers, between sofa cushions, in closets, etc., to help bring a fresh lavender scent to your home.
