The Flood Saga Continues: Disappointing News
Posted by Staff Writer on 19th Mar 2026
Well, disappointing news: there will be further delays.
After the drywall and flooring was torn out, we were looking forward to getting started on the restoration. However, since our building is owned and operated by government entities (the airport complex is owned by the county and run by the Delaware River and Bay Authority), we were required to have air quality testing performed to check for mold spores before proceeding.
A technician came out last Friday and collected samples, and unfortunately they did detect mold spores in the building at a level above their allowed threshold.
Because of this, restoration cannot proceed until the source of the spores is identified and corrected.
- This will add a week or more to the timeline of our restoration process, meaning:
- more downtime for our factory/production space
- more lost revenues
- more pressure to catch up in time for the coming summer season once we're up and running again.
We're really disappointed with this news, and it's definitely adding to the stress level here, but we're optimistic that we'll get through it.
Thank you for all of your support — in all the forms we've been receiving it. We wouldn't have made it this far without you all, and we look forward to getting re-opened and getting everything back on track so that we can continue to bring your favorite products to market.
If you're interested in helping us during our recovery, please consider placing an order on our website or making a donation to the GoFundMe campaign.
Every penny helps, and we sincerely thank you. <3
