The Flood Saga, Day 30 — March 10, 2026:
Posted by Staff Writer on 12th Mar 2026
For the past week, we've been living through the first phase of the flood remediation: removing all the water-damaged flooring, drywall (fortunately they only had to take everything below about two feet), and insulation, treating the subfloor slab, wooden studs, and insides of the walls with antimicrobial products, and some really intensive ventilation and dehumidification.
We hired ServePro to do all of that. They showed up last Monday and got right to work. Like an anthill of activity, they tore through the work (and our walls) in quick fashion.
We spent several days with so much machine noise we couldn't hear ourselves screaming at each other, so in a way, it brought peace (LOL).
Now we're waiting for the next phase to start: replacing the drywall. Then comes painting, then flooring, then our bathrooms need to be re-assembled (it will be nice to have walls in there again, so using the bathroom is no longer a group bonding activity!) and then we can move back in!
We're hoping to be moving back in at the start of April, and we're using our down-time to plan some great new products, features, and services for the coming season and beyond!
We're still in need of support, of course, and we are deeply appreciative of all of you who have helped in any way whatsoever.
Thank you so much!
Here are some photos of the factory in its current state, emptied out and demolished from the knees down.
